Daphne's Glove

Last year Kathleen Murphy an artist, contacted 12 people and invited them to be part of a Group Gathering http://agroupgathering.blogspot.co.uk/ following on from a successful exhibition last year. We were each sent a package by Kathleen which contained  one used white glove and an embroidered name tag 'Daphne Bryant' (from charity shops) and were asked to take the challenge and do something with the glove, to be included in an exhibition at The Weavers Gallery Ledbury in October 2015. My Daphne pictures, above, are about a woman who is a stargazer, each picture representing a different constellation, printed, painted and embroidered onto glove shapes...my idea stemmed from gloves: hands/palmistry/astology fusing with astronomy.
