It's lovely to find an outdoor place to draw and paint, and the place where these trees were is in a garden called Hellens house in Herefordshire. As autumn is such a dramatic season, with extraordinary changes in colours and lighting and plant forms being revealed and things decaying, it is a good time to be outside.
